Cite a law that regulates the use of computers and explain which non-jural law seem to underpin it

Republic Act No. 8293
AN ACT PRESCRIBING THE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY CODE AND ESTABLISHING THE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OFFICE, PROVIDING FOR ITS POWERS AND FUNCTIONS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

The Republic Act No. 8293 is the unauthorized reproduction and distribution of copyrighted works through the use of telecommunications networks. The Moral Law underpins the RA 8293 since it defines the morality of the person who acts against and with this Act. If a person goes with the Act, his actions are considered moral and good as he respects the Law and serves as an example to others. Breaking this Act is considered bad and will lay upon a burden to the person who did wrong.

Cite a computer activity and determine if it is ethical or unethical. Explain.

In my opinion, an act becomes ethical when it conforms to the norm, the examples set by the majority of professionals in the field of study. For example, there are two advertisers A and B. Advertiser A has thrice the traffic than Advertiser B. Since B wants to increase the traffic to his own ads, he decides to study and copy Advertiser A's methods and finds that it is a widely used unethical method within the Advertising community. Advertiser B proceeds to adapt the method and considered the method as an ethical one.

Why study Computer Ethics?

We study Computer Ethics to produce  high-quality products that are up to the industry's standards. On a consumer's point of view, a product that follows the code guidelines is much more credible than one which does not follow the guidelines. The lessons that is imparted by Computer Ethics will assure that the up-and-coming software engineers will have an idea of discipline in using computers and computer products. A discipline in which computers and its applications would be harmless to the users.
